Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, is home to a vibrant array of all-inclusive resorts that cater to everyone’s vacation needs. I discovered 11 fantastic all-inclusive resorts nestled in this coastal paradise, with 4 boasting an adults-only environment and 7 offering a family-friendly vibe. These resorts are packed with amenities like infinity pools overlooking the Pacific, gourmet dining experiences, and spas that melt your stress away. The unique combination of lush jungles and pristine beaches makes Puerto Vallarta a dream spot for any vacationer.
The small resort town has forested mountains bordering a snow-white sand strip before the emerald-tinted blue water. Puerto Vallarta has a tropical climate, which makes the beaches even more appealing during the hot and humid days.
Puerto Vallarta is one of the most popular resort destinations for a reason. And there’s an all-inclusive resort for everyone from families to young couples looking for an escape from the stressors of daily life.

Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta

The Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta is a family-friendly all-inclusive resort. The KidZ club on the premises offers youngsters plenty of activities so adults can have fun. Some activities include various arts and crafts, nature walks, swimming in the kiddie pool, and even releasing sea turtles at sea (season permitting).
All-inclusive really does mean all-inclusive at Hyatt Ziva properties, too. There are no resort fees or hidden charges, and gratuity is included in the price. Meals, drinks, and some activities are included as well.
The restaurants and bars available stand out from all other all-inclusive resorts. First, none of the six restaurants and bars require reservations. There’s plenty of variety, with a buffet, a seaside grill, and multiple fancy restaurants. The bars are even more diverse, with a sports bar, a pool bar, a beach bar, and even a tequila bar.
All rooms have either full or partial views of the Pacific Ocean. Premium suites can include a semi-private pool, hot tub, or multiple floors in the presidential suite. The rooms are mildly decorated for the most part, but the full-view rooms offer some fantastic views to make up for it.
Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta

Fiesta Americana is a budget Puerto Vallarta all-inclusive resort. The price tag is low, but this resort offers plenty of amenities and dining options, making it an excellent vacation choice. For one, it’s dog-friendly so you can vacation with your dog. And they treat dogs very well at Fiesta Americana by providing them with bowls and a welcome kit with some doggie snacks.
The resort is only 20 minutes away from the airport, but that does not even matter because they have a free airport shuttle from the airport to the resort. Only a few resorts in Puerto Vallarta have a free shuttle, so it’s a nice perk.
The activities are fairly standard – non-motorized watersports, snorkeling, paddle boarding, and various beach and poolside activities. There is a children’s area to entertain your children while you have fun with more adult activities.
Six restaurants are available for guests – a buffet, a seafood restaurant, and a very informal grill restaurant. Italian, Asian, and Mexican cuisines are also offered at three restaurants.
Sheraton Buganvilias Resort & Convention Center

The Sheraton Buganvilias in Puerto Vallarta is another family-friendly all-inclusive Puerto Vallarta resort. It’s nestled right on the beach and has a plethora of non-motorized watersports available for your vacation. It’s also pet friendly, so your dog can enjoy a holiday with you.
The dining options are also top-of-the-line. There’s a selection of restaurants serving everything from gourmet pizza to traditional Mexican food and seafood to a fusion of Thai, Japanese, and Spanish food, and even an Italian restaurant. The ambiance of the many bars on the resort is also lovely – most of the bars center around the many pools.
The rooms rate highly here. Every room faces the ocean, which means enjoying some beautiful sunsets from the comfort of your room. All rooms have comfortable beds and soft linens and are spacious.
Crown Paradise Club Puerto Vallarta

Crown Paradise Club Puerto Vallarta is another family-friendly all-inclusive resort. And Crown Paradise focuses on ensuring the whole family can have a good time. The resort has many activities available for guests of all ages. There’s a baby nursery, a ship-themed waterpark, and a family game room.
The resort has plenty of options for adults, too. There’s an adults-only pool and a selection of adults-only bars with nightly shows. The combination of adult-only areas and kid-focused areas makes Crown Paradise perfect for families.
There’s also a tennis court, gym, and spa, so you can stay fit and refreshed even while on vacation. The food selection is excellent, with Japanese, French, and Mexican restaurants on the premises. Of course, there’s a wide selection of bars only for adults.
Velas Vallarta

Velas Vallarta takes all-inclusive to a whole another level with their resort. It is a family-friendly resort, with a discounted price for children ages 4-12 and no charge for children under 3.
This resort has a lot of activities going on every day. Some of these activities include cooking classes, Spanish classes, beach volleyball, and karaoke. There’s always something to do at this resort, and it’s included in the resort fee. And if you just want to kick back on the beautiful, private beach, that’s perfectly fine.
One fantastic feature of Velas Vallarta is that it’s within walking distance of three of the best golf courses in Puerto Vallarta. Golfing is not included in the all-inclusive price, but a discount is offered, and you can purchase a golf package. Golf instructors are available for those that want to improve their stroke while on vacation.
Barceló Puerto Vallarta – All Inclusive

As the name implies, Barcelo Puerto Vallarta is an all-inclusive resort. It’s another family-friendly resort. And it offers a lot to do for those of all ages. Whether it’s hanging out in any of the four pools, going on a SCUBA diving excursion (extra charge), kayaking in the bay, or chowing down at one of the four restaurants on the property, there’s plenty on offer.
The property also has one of the best locations in Puerto Vallarta. It’s directly on the beach, and the towers are nestled between two mountains. Every room has an incredible view of either the bay or the mountainous landscape.
This resort also has a massive selection of rooms. The standard hotel room and presidential suite have an oceanfront view, a private terrace, and multiple bedrooms. It’s a family-friendly resort, so more enormous family suites are available.
Villa Del Palmar Beach Resort & Spa

Villa Del Palmar is one of the more affordable all-inclusive resorts in Puerto Vallarta. And it has plenty of amenities to compete with the most expensive Puerto Vallarta resorts. This resort has four restaurants serving a variety of different cuisine (Mexican, Japanese, Italian, and seafood). Villa Del Palmar sources the food locally when possible, so it’s sometimes really fresh, depending on your order.
Families are welcome here, and they have a lot of activities for kids, including a sand castle competition, pinatas, face painting, and even a kid-focused massage class. Adults can enjoy their time with various activities, including kayaking, theme party nights, tequila pong, paddleboarding, and more.
The resort is also located only 10 minutes from the airport, which is very convenient. Sadly, there’s no free shuttle, but they can arrange transportation to the resort.
Hotel Mousai Puerto Vallarta

Hotel Mousai is the most luxurious non-couple-focused all-inclusive resort in Puerto Vallarta, and it has the best views of any resort. It’s also adults-only, so you don’t have to worry about screaming babies or kids running around on vacation.
One thing I really like about Hotel Mousai is that they fully utilize their rooftops. Most activities happen on the rooftops, with breathtaking bay views and mountains. There’s also a seemingly endless number of infinity pools on the roof, which only adds to the luxurious feel of the resort.
This resort also has the fanciest, most luxurious restaurants in Puerto Vallarta. Six gourmet restaurants serve Chinese, Japanese, Mexican, and Italian cuisine. Some of these are rooftop restaurants, so you can enjoy a magical view while eating a gourmet meal.
The suites are modern and stylish, with lovely views. There are also ultra suites, which are the same as regular suites but have a better view. For those willing to spend more, the penthouses at Hotel Mousai are incredible. They have the best views in the entire tower, and a butler is included. Penthouse guests can also have dinner prepared by a chef in the room itself.
Casa Velas

Casa Velas is another adults-only all-inclusive resort in Puerto Vallarta. It’s primarily aimed at couples, but single adult guests are more than welcome to stay at the resort. One important thing to note is that Casa Velas is not directly on the beach, and it’s located on a golf course about a block away from the beach. A free shuttle to the Táu Beach Club serves as the resort’s private beach.
The resort is on the small side, but they pack a lot of luxury into it. There’s one restaurant – Emiliano – on the resort, which has the same feel as a Michelin-star restaurant. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner at Emiliano are included in the all-inclusive fee.
The suites at Casa Velas are quite luxurious, and both the architecture and decor match the ambiance of Puerto Vallarta. They range from the relatively small 460-square-foot master suite to the gigantic 5,500 square feet presidential suite with a terrace, pool, and three bedrooms.
Villa Premiere Boutique Hotel & Romantic Getaway

Villa Premiere is an adults-only, all-inclusive resort. It’s heavily geared towards couples, but any adult is welcome to stay at the resort. This is primarily a couple’s resort, so the activities offered are scant compared to other alternatives.
However, it makes up for the lack of activities with some of the best dining in Puerto Vallarta. The three restaurants all offer some form of Mexican fusion cuisine. There’s also a romantic dinner available for an extra charge. The romantic dinner has three courses and is on the beach.
The hotel has 80 rooms, and they all have a beautiful view of the bay. Some of the rooms and suites even have a jacuzzi in them. All the rooms and suites have a personal butler, a convenient perk.
Secrets Vallarta Bay All Inclusive

This resort is adults-only, but it’s not geared towards couples – single adults can have plenty of fun at this resort with all the activities offered during the day and night. These activities include snorkeling, non-motorized watersports (kayaking and paddleboarding), theme party nights, and hanging out at one of the two pools or jacuzzis on the resort.
The dining options are excellent, with French, Italian, Mexican, seafood, and a sushi bar available. There’s also a wide selection of bars on the resort, including a swim-up bar, a poolside bar, two lobby bars, and a theater bar. Local drinks are included in the resort fee, so you do not have to worry about paying when you are at the bar.
The accommodation is outstanding – this is Hyatt resort, after all. The rooms all have lovely ocean views, a private balcony or terrace, and sparkling clean marble floors. Some of the suites have a small pool. All rooms have 24-hour room service and a fully stocked mini-fridge, which is standard protocol for all-inclusive resorts in Puerto Vallarta.
